Seminar on "Films Metallization and Coextrusion Technology":
Opened up new doors for product development and solution of quality problems...

LatinPack 2007 – CHILE (May 30-31, Riesco Convention Center, Santiago) fulfilled attendees expectations, the majority from MERCOSUR countries. All presentations and discussions addressed by global leading companies such as Enercon, Braskem, ThermoFisher and COIM Novacote were acclaimed for their technical substance and application-oriented on plastic packaging for consumer goods. The workshop on Barrier Packaging showed new developments and latest advances on barrier materials, equipment and applications, touching also on trends such as active and intelligent packaging, glass-coating films and sustainable packaging. The keynote speaker was Eng. Pablo Escobar, president of ChilePlast, who reviewed the Chilean plastic industry and its growing regional leadership during the last 10 years. Eng. Escobar touched on the strategic changes of the industry through capital investment in technology and quality, keeping a focus not only in regional markets but also in North America and Europe.
